| Abstract : | Sodium germanate glass containing cobalt was studied by Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy (RBS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The glass samples were observed to be chemically inhomogeneous with the surface region highly deficient in cobalt. The cobalt concentration was found to increase with the depth inside the samples. Polished samples were found to be homogeneous., |
