| Abstract : | Abstract. We describe a number of experiences we have made designing and implementing JacORB, an Object Request Broker (ORB), in Java. These are mainly consequences of choosing Java both as the implementation language for an ORB and as the target language for which this platform is designed. We focus on the degree of transparency possible in a Java language mapping for IDL, on multithreading in the ORB core and generating CORBA type code information., |
