The radon concentrations varied from 3 to 270 Bq m(-3) with an average of 42 Bq m(-3). It was found that the average radon concentration in the surveyed areas increases with altitudes. The highest average radon concentration of 59 Bq m(-3) was found in Dhamar city while the lowest average concentration of 8 Bq m(-3) was found in Hodeidah city. (C) 2003 Published by Elsevier Ltd., |
